Democrats have been gunning to impeach the president since Donald Trump was elected. From pushing a grand Russia conspiracy to alleging the real estate mogul is mentally unstable, the country is little more than one year out from the next presidential election yet Democrats remain hellbent on removing the president from office. They’re coming up with any reason they can to try to justify impeachment, and Grabien News has a list of them all.

Democrats began calling for Trump’s impeachment as soon as two weeks after he took office in 2017. Then, the call came from U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX.), who said Trump ought to be charged if the president ignored court orders related to his travel ban.

Then came Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) less than a week later. She said Democrats should impeach Trump because “we have to,” and because Trump was “creating chaos and division.”

Other reasons Democrats have cited as possible means for impeachment include that Trump is “crazy,” “friends” with Putin, “threatening the media,” incompetent, “psychologically deranged,” “racist,” and guilty of calling countries “sh-tholes,” and engaging in name calling. The impeachment justifications hav also included Trump firing former FBI director James Comey, questioning whether transgender people should serve in the U.S. military, and “send her back” chants from the audience at his rallies.

The list comes as Trump faces a wave of impeachment stampeding with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) formally announcing the beginning of an impeachment inquiry against the president without a vote in the House. A majority of House members now support the impeachment proceedings against Trump following new hearsay accusations the president conspired with foreign leaders to investigate political opponents.

The allegations mirror those made three years ago when Democrats upset with the results of the election peddled a grand conspiracy theory garnering wall-to-wall media coverage claiming that Trump colluded with the Russian government to defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016. The charges turned out to have no basis in reality after a three-year investigation by a special counsel with unlimited resources.
