Matt Bai is a political journalist, author, and now screenwriter. His book, “All The Truth Is Out,” about the presidential candidate Gary Hart was the basis for the new movie, “The Front Runner.” On this episode of the Federalist Radio Hour, Domenech and Bai discuss the filmmaking process, the historical transformation of political press, and how politics became pop culture.
“When you treat your politicians like celebrities for decades you cannot be surprised when you get a reality show President and we have to grapple with that in moment,” Bai said. “This is where the reality show of politics began.”
