During a Q&A at an event over the weekend, former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton wouldn’t rule out running for president again in 2020.
When asked point-blank if she was planning to run again in 2020, Clinton quipped “No,” then quickly added that she’d “like to be president.”
“Hopefully when we have a Democrat in the office in 2021, there’s going to be so much work that needs to be done,” she said. “The work would be work that I feel very well-prepared for, having been in the Senate for eight years, having been a diplomat in the State Department. It’s just going to be a lot of heavy lifting.”
When asked if she would be “doing any of the heavy lifting,” Clinton said she had “no idea,” adding that she was “not even going to think about it until we get through this November 6th election.”
