New Title IX Rules Could Restore Due Process On College Campuses

Robby Soave joins the Federalist Radio Hour to discuss Title IX, free speech, defining the public square, and the rise of the scooter.

Robby Soave, associate editor at Reason, joins this episode of the Federalist Radio to discuss changes to Title IX guidances coming from the Department of Education. Ben Domenech and Soave also also discuss the free speech debate happening on Twitter and social meida, as well as the new favorite mode of transportation: scooters.

“The new guidance will apparently will be saying colleges have no obligation to handle these things if they’re not actually happening on campus,” he said. “In tweaking these proceedings, maybe we are blowing an opportunity to say, ‘Actually colleges should play no role in the adjudicating of violence and sexual crimes.'”
