Washington D.C. — Donald J. Trump took the oath of office Friday at noon, making him the 45th President of the United States.
Flanked by his wife, Melania Trump, and his three children, Trump placed his hand atop the same Bible President Abraham Lincoln used when he was first sworn into office, and promised to “faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States.”
Chief Justice John Roberts administered the oath to Trump just after Justice Clarence Thomas administered the oath to Vice President Mike Pence.
