Earlier this week, a seventh video detailing Planned Parenthood’s gruesome organ-trafficking operation was released. In it, a former procurement technician who worked with the organization described how Planned Parenthood harvested a brain from a baby boy whose heart was still beating.
If you use BuzzFeed as your primary source of news, however, you’d know nothing about the story. The same goes for the video in which a top Planned Parenthood official said she needed a good price on aborted baby organs because, “I want a Lamborghini.” That little detail was also never reported. In fact, it’s been over a month since BuzzFeed published any standalone stories featuring details from newly released undercover videos.
Now we know why: last night, BuzzFeed’s senior health editor Casey Gueren received an award from Planned Parenthood for “media excellence”:
So incredibly grateful to be honored by @PPFA at the #MaggieAwards Thank you @ppglobe and @CecileRichards

Props to @CaseyGueren! Her #MaggieAwards is for her engaging work on sexual & #reprohealth with @BuzzFeed.

Here’s a recent sampling of Gueren’s important contributions to journalism that led to her Planned Parenthood award for media excellence:

Sadly, that list is indicative of BuzzFeed’s approach to the widening Planned Parenthood scandal. Rather than reporting on information and footage from the videos, BuzzFeed and its Planned Parenthood award-winning staff have decided to make jokes about it. Here’s BuzzFeed’s ground-breaking research on why it’s okay to LOL about a baby with a heartbeat having his face cut in half so an abortionist can harvest and sell his brain:

That’s from August 12, the same day a new Planned Parenthood video was released by the Center for Medical Progress. A video which BuzzFeed of course refused to cover, because why would you cover that when you can instead trumpet a video from “Funny or Die” making fun of people who think it’s wrong to kill healthy, viable babies and chop them up so you can sell them off for parts?
And when they’re not giggling at all those LOL-worthy gag reels of babies being thrown in pie dishes before having their arms ripped off, BuzzFeed’s reporters are telling us how uh-mazing aborted baby research is:

Or they’re telling us who the real victims are in this story. No, it’s not the babies being torn apart or the mothers whose medical treatment is altered without their consent. To BuzzFeed, the real victims here are “scientists”:

Journalists from several other organizations also received Planned Parenthood “Maggie” awards, named after Margaret Sanger, the racist, eugenicist, Hitler-supporting founder of Planned Parenthood.
This Yahoo! Health editor received an award just hours after she published this story about how those multi-state and federal investigations of Planned Parenthood are like, totally, not a big deal you guys:

A #MaggieAwards for @jennyalyse, for her consistent & compelling coverage of #reprohealth & rights on @YahooHealth. Congratulations!

Thank you thank you thank you @PPFA + my amazing editors @kenneylp + @michprom @YahooHealth – so grateful to be honored at the #MaggieAwards

More than a dozen additional journalists also received awards yesterday from the nation’s largest abortion provider and unborn baby organ harvester. It would appear that the only thing Planned Parenthood enjoys more than harvesting baby parts to sell is rewarding activists with bylines for their work in snuffing out news coverage before it even leaves the cradle.
