YouTuber Mark Rober was sick of thieves nabbing packages from his front porch, so he designed a massive glitter bomb set to deploy when the culprits opened the stolen box.

Earlier this year, Rober caught thieves stealing one of his Amazon packages on tape, but when he presented the video evidence to the cops, they said it wasn’t worth their time to pursue. So Rober, an engineer who worked on NASA’s Curiosity rover — a spacecraft which is currently collecting data on Mars — decided to take matters into his own hands.

Rober created a device that would spray thieves with glitter and fart spray upon opening the package. He also installed four smart phones that would track the package location and record the encounter.

Several different thieves had a massive amount of glitter and fart spray dumped all over them and their surroundings.

One woman appeared to bring the device into her home and then curse repeatedly as she carried it out to the trash.

Another appeared to admire the craftsmanship put into the device and is seen on the footage examining it.

Moral of the story: Don’t steal other people’s packages! You never know what you’ll get.
