“What is unbelievable to tens of millions of Americans is that Republicans, led by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, are working so hard to get this [omnibus] passed. It is deeply immoral and frustrating to Americans that this is what’s happening in our country,” said Federalist Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway during an interview on Fox News. “By doing this massive $1.7 trillion omnibus … they take away all the leverage that [House] Republicans have in this country for another year, and it is not what a serious country would do.”
