In recent comments to a “reporter who was asking why Trump finds it necessary to talk to” certain leaders, Sec. of State Marco Rubio said “it’s time for people to become more adult in their foreign policy,” Federalist Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway said on Fox News’ Special Report. “And nuclear powers do need to speak with each other, and this relates to why Trump wants to be talking to Putin and Zelensky to end this Ukraine-Russia war. That’s what adults do, and sometimes you have to talk to people who aren’t your favorite people to get that negotiated settlement that is going to happen.”
