“While Trump’s policies are really popular, the Republicans in Congress and Senate are not that popular and Trump is not on the ballot. So you’ve got Democrats all jacked up to go vote against Republicans, but what Republicans need to do is to deliver on the things they said they were going to. They can’t just show up, pass one bill, play possum. They have to work to make prices permanently lower. They need to work to permanently make healthcare and college and housing more affordable. Their strategy thus far kind of just hiding and doing nothing is not going to work out well for them so they need to actually start getting moving and passing laws to deliver on what they promised they would do,” The Federalist Co-Founder and CEO Sean Davis said on Jesse Watters Primetime.
“When you look at the Senate, for example, so far this year I think the Senate has voted on average once a day. They have passed two bills. Why not bring up the SAVE America Act? Secure our elections. Do voter ID. Make it happen. Who cares how long it takes! It’s not like they are doing anything else. If we don’t have secure elections and election integrity all these other issues don’t matter. It doesn’t matter how popular you are if these people can flood the system,” Davis continued.
