Facebook has “objectively made the country worse, and [these state attorneys general] saying, ‘We’re going to let you walk by giving less than 1 percent of your revenue a year to a handful of states’ makes me think the suit from the beginning was a joke that they never had any intention to do anything,” said Federalist CEO Sean Davis during a War Room interview. “They saw an opportunity to do what happened with the tobacco companies, which was, ‘Oh, let’s just get a little extra money for ourselves. We actually don’t care about the problem. We’ll give some class-action lawyers $6 billion dollars to put in their pockets, and then we’ll give pennies in our state and call it a day.’ It’s a total joke.”
