Bedford: The Censorship Regime Might Have Finally Gone Too Far

“This seems also to be a major overstep by the U.S. government because so far, they’ve relied on corporate partners like Twitter or Amazon Web Services or Facebook or Google to really do the censorship,” Federalist Senior Editor Christopher Bedford said on Fox News in reference to the White House’s new “disinformation” board.

“Granted, just like the secretary said, it just provides guidance, but actually it doesn’t just provide guidance, it tries to discredit different viewpoints that they deem dangerous or leading toward violence. That starts to move toward the First Amendment, so if they actually try to weaponize this, I think that overstep will end them up in legal battles very quickly,” he added.
