A Legitimate Justice System Would Jail ‘Intifada’ Vandals, Not Pro-Lifers

The Biden administration’s two-tiered justice system struck again this week when it did nothing to punish pro-Hamas protestors who defaced a U.S. military cemetery.

The vandals were caught on camera spray-painting the walls of the Los Angeles National Cemetery memorial with anti-Israel rhetoric such as “Free Gaza” and “Intifada.”

The desecration of a memorial designed to honor U.S. military members is a federal crime. Under 18 U.S. Code § 1369, violators of this statute should be fined and could face up to 10 years in federal prison.

Blocking traffic on a major interstate, as pro-Palestine protestors did to Seattle’s I-5 last week and Los Angeles’ Westwood area in October, is also illegal and punishable under most state laws.

Yet none of the hundreds of people recorded breaking federal and state laws will face consequences because, under the current ruling class, only the administration’s political enemies get punished.

If federal prosecutors can split hairs in the unconstitutional Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act to sentence five pro-lifers to more than a decade of prison time for praying and protesting at an abortion facility, then they should have no problem sending people who used the resting places of World War I, World War II, Vietnam, and other veterans to advance their pro-terrorist political agenda to the clink. But they won’t.

Under the Biden administration, prosecutors are encouraged to weaponize their authority against Americans who think or say the wrong things.

The disparity in how deep-state bureaucrats treated Democrats’ political enemies started years ago. Only recently, however, did the majority of Americans wake up to the corruption responsible for unraveling the long-held American standard for blind justice.

It’s one thing to be an administration that brings the hammer down on all lawbreakers — it’s another to selectively punish in a blatantly partisan way. It’s clear which path the Department of Justice under President Joe Biden chose.

Prosecuting praying pro-lifers and a pastor for their presence outside of abortion facilities, investigating concerned parents as domestic terrorists for attending school board meetings, and questioning grandmas who never entered the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, while arrests over the violent abortion mob’s threats against Republican-nominated Supreme Court justices were throttled aren’t just a bad look. They are the beginning of the end of equal application of the law.

If only one side upholds justice, the rule of law, and norms that have governed our nation for nearly 250 years, there is no such thing as true justice, rule of law, or norms. There’s just politics.
