Voters in Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia chose the un-flashy Republicans over the celebrity-backed Democratic candidates in the 2018 midterms.
Rep. Marsha Blackburn, a conservative Republican congresswoman, was elected to the U.S. Senate on Tuesday night, defeating former Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen in a hotly contested race in Tennessee.
In an undercover video, campaign staffers working for Democratic candidate Phil Bredesen said he would have voted against Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation, although Bredesen has told voters the opposite.
While the national media encourage the radicalization of the Democratic Party and highlight how that radicalization excites its base in liberal states, the result is the crushing of moderate Democratic pols.
