Mike Farris is president, CEO, and general counsel of Alliance Defending Freedom, the religious freedom group representing Jack Phillips before the Supreme Court. Farris joins the Federalist Radio Hour to explain how the Masterpieces Cakeshop case is deciding whether a government can coerce a creative professional to create expression that conflicts with their religious beliefs.
The First Amendment has been under attack in our country. “There are so many people who used to be more classically liberal that have become basically the ideologues for the currently politically correct trends,” he said. “If you differ with that, you don’t have free speech rights.”
