“The relationship between China and the U.S. [is] clearly economically intertwined. Janet Yellen has said she would like to deepen the economic relationship. A lot of Americans feel that this is an adversarial relationship and that we should be, in some manner, decoupling or preparing for a type of cold war where we take seriously how adversarial China is. Joe Biden, as president, is probably not in the best position to do that because his brother and his son received money from Chinese communist countries. They’re economically intertwined as well. It’s difficult seeing him lead the country where it needs to be given his own personal family relationship,” said Federalist Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway.
