Cleveland: State Department’s Censorship Scheme Suppresses Conservative News

“The State Department, through its Global Engagement Center, was funding the development, the research, the promotion of different types of technology that are used to censor publications,” said New Civil Liberties Alliance counsel Margot Cleveland during a “Real America’s Voice” interview. “The State Department, by statute, is limited to engaging in foreign affairs. But what this group did is they had a platform called ‘Disinfo Cloud’ that was for the military and government, and they actually went and invited American tech companies to come on and to explore and see what kind of technology that they could use.”
