Tamika Palmer, the mother of Breonna Taylor, slammed her local Black Lives Matter chapter for being a fraud, money-grabbing organization that “has never done a damn thing for us.”

“I have never personally dealt with BLM Louisville and personally have found them to be fraud, Attica Scott another fraud,” Palmer wrote in a Facebook post that has now been removed. “I could walk in a room full of people who claim to be here for Breonna’s family who don’t even know who I am, I’ve watched y’all raise money on behalf of Breonna’s family who has never done a damn thing for us nor have we needed it or asked so talk about fraud.”

Taylor died in March 2020 after she was struck by a bullet in a gunfight between police and her boyfriend Kenneth Walker. Police originally raided her apartment in search of Taylor’s ex-boyfriend in connection to drugs but were met with gunfire from Walker, who says he believed the officers were intruders. Taylor’s death and the officers’ possible indictment received national attention and even resulted in multiple riots in the name of protesting police brutality. While a grand jury indicted one of the three officers in the shooting with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment after he “fired through a window into [Taylor’s] apartment the night she was killed,” Taylor’s family also received $12 million in civil damages from the city.

Palmer continued her rant by claiming Black Lives Matter and the people involved in it have “lost focus” of what they are trying to accomplish.

“I’m a say this before I go, I’m so sick of some of y’all and I was last anybody who needs it,” she wrote. “Enough is enough!!”

Palmer’s frustration with BLM comes shortly after the national organization’s co-founder Patrisse Cullors bought at least four luxurious homes in predominantly white neighborhoods for approximately $3.2 million. Cullors previously claimed to be a “trained Marxist,” causing multiple news outlets and others to push back on her recent purchases.

When the New York Post reported about Cullors’ homes, however, Facebook and Instagram blocked users from sharing the story after claiming “the link goes against our community standards.”
