“What these activists — who are emboldened by people like Jacob Frey — are trying to do is they are trying to make the enforcement of federal immigration law so politically toxic that the enforcement stops all together,” The Federalist’s Brianna Lyman said on Fox News at Night.
“One way they do this — with the help of Democrats like Jacob Frey — is they use language like ‘unconstitutional’ or ‘illegal’. They want to frame these [ICE] operations as though they are immoral and illegal so that it justifies resistance to them by any means necessary. Then you add on top of it … the fact that these protests turn violent. They want to make a hostile environment for ICE and Border Patrol and law enforcement so that they cannot do their job safely. And the reason that Jacob Frey and so many Democrats are OK with this, either implicitly or explicitly, is they see illegal aliens as part of the key bloc to winning future elections.”
