In all their self-aggrandizement and pontificating, the media seems to have missed the core tenet of legitimacy as a public institution: trust.
It’s not at all clear that the free people of the world are still willing to make the choices—let alone the requisite sacrifices—to protect our rights and liberties.
Fundamentals are one thing, but being in touch with the spirit of the age is what really counts.
