Despite the obstacles the church faced over the last six months, MacArthur said the church will continue to be faithful in meeting and worshiping together.
Despite the court’s ruling, Pastor John MacArthur told Fox News’s Shannon Bream that the church would still be meeting.
Los Angeles County’s order that Grace Community Church vacate a parking lot they leased is clearly linked to the ongoing legal battle over COVID-19 restrictions.
“We do not need the state’s permission to serve and worship our Lord as He has commanded,” elders of Grace Community Church said.
Grace Community Church has been embroiled in litigation since they first defied Gov. Newsom’s orders to cease indoor gatherings in early July.
A California judge denied a church’s request to block Gov. Newsom’s orders prohibiting “all indoor worship services, including home Bible studies and fellowship.”
