Shaun Rieley is senior director for programs and development at The American Conservative. He earned a Ph.D. in political theory from the Catholic University of America and holds an M.A. from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland. Rieley served as an infantryman in the Maryland Army National Guard for nine years, which included tours of duty in Iraq and Guantanamo Bay.
