Dr. Willhite is a molecular biologist. His doctoral training at the University of Houston focused on infectious disease. In work as a postdoctoral fellow and research scientist at Yale University School of Medicine, he used viruses to study neuroanatomy. He has engineered dozens of viruses, all of which are harmless to humans. He has since left scientific research.
