FDRLST Media Foundation Bequest Language

An excellent way to support The Federalist’s mission to defend free speech, expose corruption, and preserve America’s founding principles is to include the FDRLST Media Foundation in your will, living trust, or by adding a simple codicil.

One of the greatest benefits of making a gift by bequest is that it allows you to continue using your assets during your lifetime while leaving a lasting legacy that helps ensure The Federalist’s work continues for generations to come.

Types Of Bequests

There are several ways to make a bequest to the FDRLST Media Foundation :

Specific Bequest: A specific bequest involves leaving a particular asset such as real estate, personal property, or a fixed dollar amount. (Example: “I give $10,000 to the FDRLST Media Foundation.”)

Percentage Bequest: A percentage bequest designates a set percentage of your estate to charity. (Example: “I give 10% of my estate to the FDRLST Media Foundation.”)

Residual Bequest: A residual bequest provides what remains of your estate after all specific gifts and obligations have been fulfilled. (Example: “I give 30% of the residue of my estate to the FDRLST Media Foundation.”)

Contingent Bequest: A contingent bequest takes effect only if a primary beneficiary is unable to inherit. (Example: “If my relative does not survive me, I give my vacation home to the FDRLST Media Foundation.”)

Benefits Of A Bequest

A bequest is typically revocable, meaning it can be amended or changed at any time. You can also choose whether your gift supports a general purpose or a specific initiative—giving you peace of mind that your legacy will advance the values you care about most.

Because bequests to charitable organizations are exempt from federal estate taxes, your gift may also provide estate tax savings, allowing you to leave more to your loved ones.
