Lyman: NYT Poll Underscores Why Kamala Was So Desperate For Debate Rule Change

“One of the things that stood out to me most from this poll is that 63 percent of respondents said they wanted to see major change from Joe Biden. And when asked which candidate would deliver that, 25 percent said Kamala Harris, 51 percent said Donald Trump,” The Federalist’s Brianna Lyman said Monday on Fox News at Night. “This really kind of underscores why Kamala Harris’s team really wanted to change the dynamics of tomorrow’s debate because they are really reliant on that hot mic, viral moment to detract from Harris’ shortcomings as [vice] president because a lot of people are tethering her to the Biden administration’s failures. And it’s going to be hard to spend the next eight weeks convincing voters she’s not part of her own administration.”
