“The entire purpose of [Kamala Harris’] book … is it is supposed to send her on this nationwide rehabilitation tour, because if she does want to run for future office, she not only has to explain away her horrible four years as vice president, but she has to explain away her horrible presidential campaign which included, I think, severe political miscalculations — the number one … being that she chose Tim Walz, someone who was far less likable, far less qualified than Josh Shapiro, who was governor of a key swing state,” The Federalist’s Brianna Lyman said on Fox News Live.
“So the reason she is trying to … knife Josh Shapiro in the back [in this book] is she can’t say what we all know, which is that she didn’t choose Josh Shapiro because he’s Jewish. Instead, she’s trying to make a different … deflection to say, ‘Oh, well I’m a woman, [and] he wanted to be in the room [for every decision]. He was mean to me.’ [Harris] doesn’t want to take accountability for her poor political judgment, because it shows she has no political instinct, and that is not someone who could be president.”
