“There is this really disturbing trend right now amongst the propaganda press where they’re trying to humanize these violent, criminal, illegal aliens. And they do it for one purpose and one purpose only: They want to guilt Americans out of their God-given right to sovereignty, to their borders, and to their laws,” The Federalist’s Brianna Lyman said on America’s Newsroom. “It’s not just this New York Times story. The New Yorker has a glowing expose … about a Jamaican national who has been living here illegally for 50 years and also murdered someone. He has an order of removal. And yet [The New Yorker] described him as a Jamaican national who was ‘shackled’ and thrown on a plane and sent out of here and compared him to enslaved black Americans.”
“You had the [case of] Kilmar Abrego-Garcia — an alleged human smuggler and wife beater — who was really just actually a ‘Maryland father’ and a sympathetic dad … So the purpose of all these stories is if Americans can be taught to sympathize with the worst of the worst — murderers, repeat offenders — then it becomes a lot easier for the propaganda press to gin up opposition when illegal aliens who have not committed violent crimes are getting deported. So [the propaganda press is] trying to make mass deportations politically unacceptable by desensitizing Americans to lawlessness.”
