Follow Federalist Senior Editor John Daniel Davidson, Federalist Culture Editor Emily Jashinsky, and freelance reporter David Agren as they document the crisis on the southern U.S. border, talk with migrants seeking shelter from triple-digit heat, and discover how much of a grip cartel-affiliated smugglers have on the illegal immigration black market.
“It is very dangerous here,” a migrant from Haiti explained through a translator. “You sleep in the street, people here are sleeping in the street. Everyone wants to cross. Everyone has family that already lives in the United States.”
