The latest data shows Asian men earned 117 percent as much as white men did. Similarly, Asian women out-earned all other racial groups. Yet we hear nothing about ‘Asian privilege’—and we shouldn’t.
Rather than assuming the wage gap is proof our workplaces are intractably sexist, women should recognize that the choices we make will determine how high we rise.
But that doesn’t mean the rest of the country suffers from a similar wage gap between men and women.
Perhaps it is time for the West to get over its ill-conceived love affair with feminism and embrace the so-called wage gap as a blessing instead of a curse.
