CNN’s senior media reporter, Oliver Darcy, who perpetuated a three-year conspiracy theory implicating President Donald Trump as a Russian agent, is now trying to discredit those exposing the government spy scandal and media malpractice over the hoax while dismissing real reporting as “stuff.”

“How can [Bret Baier] be hosting a supposed “straight-news” show while allowing [Mollie Hemingway] to appear on the program and push this ‘OBAMAGATE’ stuff unchallenged with no opposing point of view?” Darcy wrote on Twitter, as if CNN had ever covered the Trump administration objectively over the last four years.

The tweet drew criticism from ABC News political analyst and co-host on “The View,” Meghan McCain, which Darcy wrote off by insulting Hemingway’s and McCain’s intelligence.

That’s high-quality analysis from a self-proclaimed top-tier media expert at one of the nation’s largest news networks which spent years providing nonstop coverage of supposed Russian collusion between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign, only to now criticize any who call out the media’s foul play.
Darcy’s condemnation of Fox News for bringing on air one of the country’s preeminent experts on the Russia hoax follows a similar rant on Sunday from Darcy’s colleague, CNN’s chief media correspondent and arbiter of objective journalism Brian Stelter who complained that the massive cover up of a deep-state coup attempt was getting any attention at all amid the pandemic.
“In what right mind is any scandal, any political scandal, any Department of Justice story more important to ask the president about than the pandemic that’s raging?” Stelter demanded to know. “Ultimately it’s about news judgement, it’s about lack of judgement, but I find it befuddling.”
Clearly missing the irony here, Stelter might find his own work befuddling with a quick look into the past. Good judgement here.

It also must have been good news judgement when CNN tried to frame Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., of coordinating with WikiLeaks during the 2016 election by citing the wrong date that Jr. received a suspicious email.
