Left-Wingers Melt Down Over Diversity Brought To Martha’s Vineyard As Migrant ‘Sanctuary’

On Wednesday, Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis joined Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to make clear every town’s a border town.

The Florida governor charted two flights carrying 50 migrants to the majority-white wealthy liberal enclave at Martha’s Vineyard, or, in Max Boot’s words, “Real America.”

Read Boot’s Twitter feed, however, and you’d think these migrants were sent to a 1942 German concentration camp as opposed to one of the wealthiest vacation islands in the country where President Barack Obama owns a nearly $12 million dollar mansion. CNN actually compared the free flights to Martha’s Vineyard to Hitler’s Holocaust of Jews.

“[Governor Ron DeSantis’s] heartlessness and cynicism is hard to exaggerate,” Boot wrote on Twitter Thursday morning. “Beneath contempt. He would be very dangerous is he ever became president.”

The Washington Post columnist also made sure to retweet a series of posts declaring DeSantis “cruel” and “vindictive.”

“Deeply deeply sick and dehumanizing to fling human beings somewhere vindictively,” wrote MSNBC’s Chris Hayes in a tweet shared by Boot.

Jesse Rodriguez, an MSNBC vice president of booking, called the island preparing for the 50 migrants “unbelievable.”

If Rodriguez thinks 50 migrants landing in a community where the median home sale price is north of $1.3 million, perhaps the network executive might benefit from a trip to the southern border where about 140 times that number of immigrants flood Texas cities daily.

Abbott has spent weeks offering constituents desperate relief by sending illegal migrants to bus passage to Washington D.C., New York City, and Chicago, where Democrats are forced to reckon with the crisis the administration has refused to acknowledge. The surge of migrants entering cities identified as “sanctuaries” many plan to escape to anyway has led their Democrat leaders to declare states of emergency over a mere fraction of what southern border towns have dealt with for years.

On Wednesday, Illinois’ Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker declared a disaster and deployed the National Guard after just more than 500 migrants were brought to his state. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot joined the governor at an afternoon press conference to plead for federal assistance.

In August, New York City Democrat Mayor Eric Adams similarly declared a state of emergency once busses carrying dozens of migrants began to arrive in the city of 8.4 million. Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser also declared a public emergency over migrants sent to the nation’s capital.

According to the Texas governor’s office last week, “Operation Lone Star” has sent more than 10,000 to sanctuary cities run by Democrats who’ve lectured Americans on diversity and immigration for decades. However, the 10,000 migrants sent between Washington D.C, Chicago, and New York City, remains dwarfed by the more than 500,000 “gotaways” at the southern border this fiscal year who are making their way into communities in Texas before they finally settle where Abbott expeditated their travel.

“I am very thankful to the governor. His help is very much welcomed,” said Cuban migrant Reydel Grau in an interview with the New York Times after arriving in the nation’s capital.

Vice President Kamala Harris’s residence at the Naval Observatory became the latest destination for migrant arrivals in D.C. Thursday, where two busses carrying between 75 to 100 were picked up in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Meanwhile, in Martha’s Vineyard, migrants seem to be treated pretty well in contrast to the hysteria presented by online liberals furious at the idea of diversity landing on their gold-plated doorsteps.

“One of the migrants, who asked to be identified only as Leonel, said in Spanish that the people of Martha’s Vineyard were generous and that he ‘had never seen anything like it,’” the New York Times reported. “They gave him a pair of shoes.”

“Residents of Martha’s Vineyard overwhelmingly support illegal immigration and call for more diversity,” wrote DeSantis spokeswoman Christina Pushaw on Twitter. “Governor DeSantis was kind enough to grant their wishes.”

New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who staged an emotional photo op outside a Texas border facility the Associated Press described as a “detention camp” in 2019, has yet to weigh in.
