Justice: J6 Committee Is Pelosi’s Vehicle For 2022 Midterms

Federalist Western Correspondent Tristan Justice branded House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Select Committee on Jan. 6 as the Democrats’ vehicle for midterms in the absence of any successes under a unified government.

“This has really become the vehicle … House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is using in the 2022 midterms to try to brand Republicans as complicit in political violence after Democrats spent an entire year justifying political violence themselves because it came in the name of social justice,” Justice said on Newsmax.

Meanwhile, Pelosi’s hand-picked deputies on the committee have omitted any investigation of the speaker’s failures in the run-up to the Capitol security breach, Justice noted.

“They’re entirely focused on Donald Trump because it’s just a vehicle for re-election as opposed to Republicans who are actually probing what went wrong that day,” Justice said.

Despite the House Administration Committee holding a hearing on Capitol Police preparedness a year and a half before the riot, Pelosi took no action on the issues raised. The speaker’s apathy left police ill-trained and ill-equipped to deal with the mass protest, a conclusion outlined in a Senate report on the riot published last summer. The speaker also refused to support the pre-emptive deployment of the National Guard, setting up security to fail.
