Grassley Demands Answers: ‘What Did Obama And Biden Know And When Did They Know It?’

Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley demanded answers from former President Barack Obama on the Senate floor Monday amid new revelations in recent weeks further exposing the Russiagate conspiracy claims as a deep-state coup attempt orchestrated by top officials in the previous administration.

“Last week, former President Obama said the rule of law is at risk because of the Justice Department’s dismissal of the [Michael] Flynn case,” Grassley said. “I believe the opposite is true. The rule of law is at risk if the federal government can get away with violating the Constitution to do what they did to Lt. Gen Flynn. And when it comes to those violations and other misconduct by former government officials, Obama and the mainstream media pundit circle are silent.”

On Thursday, the Department of Justice moved to dismiss charges against former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn brought by Special Counsel Robert Mueller for making false statements to federal law enforcement officers. This followed the release of FBI notes showing Flynn was set up in a perjury trap organized by former FBI Director James Comey.

Meeting notes from Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice show the Democrat president told intelligence staff staying into the Trump administration to hide their activities from the incoming Republican presidency. They did so, including using the Flynn case to hamstring the Trump administration’s agenda for nearly its entire first four years by generating a special counsel investigation predicated on lies to secret courts.

In 2018, Comey bragged about flouting formal protocol to question senior White House staff,  admitting it was “something I probably wouldn’t have done or gotten away with in a more organized investigation, a more organized administration.”

“Since 2017, I’ve aggressively pursued the Flynn investigation to find out more about why the FBI decided to interview Flynn, make him a subject of an investigation, and then why the Justice Department eventually charged him… From the beginning, none of what I found looked right,” Grassley said Monday. “Having done good government oversight for over 40 years, I know a government foul-up when I see it.”

Grassley also pressed President Obama on the treasure trove of evidence to emerge since the grand collapse of the Russiagate conspiracies. Several new inspector general reports detail abuse of power within the administration and the completion of the Mueller probe that found not one person on the Trump campaign, let alone the president, was operating as a Russian agent.

I’ve heard no comment from Mr. Obama about independent Inspector General findings that Andrew McCabe lied under oath to federal investigators multiple times. Or about how DOJ prosecutors falsely told the court that they had produced all Brady material to Flynn. Or when the federal government surveilled an American citizen connected to the Trump campaign without probable cause and based on intelligence the FBI knew was questionable at best.

As new information comes to light, new questions have risen over the meeting on Jan. 5, 2017 between then-President Obama with Comey, Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, CIA Director John Brennan, and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. After Clapper and Brennan were released from the Oval Office meeting, Yates and Comey, who would be staying onboard in the Trump administration, stayed with the president. Then Obama discussed Flynn and offered guidance on how to perpetuate Russia hoax investigations, according to Federalist Senior Editor Mollie Hemingway.

“We’re in a constant battle between liberty and tyranny,” Grassley concluded in his remarks. “My fellow Americans, let’s use the Russia investigation and all its shortcomings to forever guard against the Tyranny of the federal government.”
