J. Austin McCubbin is an entrepreneur and owner of Intrepid. Marketing. Austin has been actively involved in political campaigns ever since first volunteering for a US House race at the age of 11 in 1994. After graduating from Transylvania University in 2005, he became the “body man” to Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher. Austin spent 2008 and 2009 as a civilian supporting the U.S. Army’s Combat Support Hospital (CSH) facilities in Baghdad, including overseeing the final transition of the original hospital facility operations back to the Government of Iraq. After returning in 2010, Austin consulted on two successful Kentucky elections for Andy Barr (KY-06) and Rand Paul’, before officially transitioning into the business world as an entrepreneur.
