Ann McElhinney is an Irish filmmaker and co-author of the New York Times best selling book, “Gosnell: The Untold Story of America’s Most Prolific Serial Killer.” On this episode of the Federalist Radio Hour, McElhinney describes how she and her husband came to discover the Gosnell trial, the lack of media coverage, and the challenges of producing and selling a movie that Hollywood didn’t want made.

“The agent said in his lengthy career, he had never had the reaction to a movie that he had had to this, which was, ‘No. No. No. No,'” she said. “But no one said it was about quality. It wasn’t about the quality of the movie. They were not helping us get that story out.”

The film will be released in theaters on Friday, October 12. You can find out more here.
