Chris Pratt is engaged to Katherine Schwarzenegger, the “Jurassic World” actor announced in an Instagram post late Sunday night. “Proud to live boldly in faith with you,” he captioned the photo, which also featured a shot of Schwarzenegger’s new ring.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger were first seen together publicly in mid-June, just under a year after Pratt separated from actress Anna Farris, the mother of his six-year-old son, Jack. Schwarzenegger, who turned 29 in December, is the oldest daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. At 39, Pratt regularly ranks among the world’s highest-paid actors.
Both Pratt and Schwarzenegger are outspoken Christians. Pratt, who’s in the middle of a 21-day period of prayer and fasting, memorably used his platform at the MTV Movie and TV Awards last year to tell the audience, “God is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you.”
“I want to thank God,” he said two months later at the Teen Choice Awards last August. “I always do that when I’m up on a big platform in front of a bunch of young faces. I say ‘I love God.’ That’s my thing. I love Him. And you should too.”
In a post wishing Schwarzenegger a happy birthday just last month, Pratt wrote, “Thrilled God put you in my life.”
Pratt and Schwarzenegger’s engagement comes after Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin, now married, confirmed their July engagement with a post the pop star captioned, “I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make.” Bieber, long affiliated with Hillsong Church, also quoted Proverbs 18:22: “He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favour from the Lord.”
