Vanessa Brown Calder is a policy analyst at the Cato Institute, where she focuses on social welfare, housing, and urban policy. Calder joins The Federalist Radio Hour for a discussion on government paid leave, the impact of policy on women, and social engineering.

“What I would love to see conservatives do is say, ‘We’re going to set our own agenda…deregulate childcare so that people have less expensive, more affordable care options,'” Calder said. “You don’t have to create an entitlement program around it. You don’t have to compromise your values.”
