On Monday the Supreme Court struck down a ban on sports gambling, allowing states to legalize betting on both college and professional sports.

On this episode of The Federalist Radio Hour, Ben Domenech talks to three experts in various fields: Ilya Shapiro of the Cato Institute about the legal issues, Bill James about the impact on sporting events, and ESPN reporter David Purdum about the economics and impact on the gambling industry.

“Beyond sports gambling, this has ramifications on lots of policy areas where, especially in the last decade or so, we’ve seen tension between state and federal law or policy…ranging from marijuana to guns,” Shapiro said.
