On Sunday, Kylie Jenner released an 11-minute video announcing the birth of her newborn daughter.
Kylie, who kept her pregnancy a secret, revealed she gave birth to a girl on February 1 — three days before the video was made public. The video starts out with footage from her own birth. Her mother, Kris Jenner, can be seen dressed in a hospital gown, laying in bed, attached to several monitoring devices.
Throughout the video are snapshots of Kylie during her pregnancy and her growing baby bump, which she kept hidden under baggy sweatshirts whenever she appeared in public over the past nine months.
Footage of Kylie’s secret baby shower is also included in the video.
As well as ultrasound stills of her baby girl in utero at 15 weeks and following.
Her boyfriend, Travis Scott, who is the father of the child, can be seen accompanying Kylie to numerous doctor visits and marveling over ultrasound photos. He is also shown in the hospital room awaiting the birth of his daughter.
At the end of the video, Kylie is holding her baby girl, surrounded by her family.
In an Instagram post published the same day, the youngest of the Jenner/Kardashian family explained that she hid her pregnancy from the public because she wanted it to be “positive” and “stress free.”
“Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I’ve had in my entire life and I’m actually going to miss it,” the 20-year-old wrote. “I’ve never felt love and happiness like this. I could burst!”
